The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) proposes to acquire, on a sole-source basis, 23 4-channel VHF miniature pocket receivers, 23 wireless receiving kits and 23 recorder interface cables. The receivers shall also contain (4) receiver channels selectable by a switch located on the side of the unit. The receivers shall also be capable of having microminiature recorders attached to them to record conversations up to four hours. The frequency shall range between 150 MHZ and 240 MHZ. These highly specialized miniature wide-band multi-channeled law enforcement receivers will be used by the Internal Security of IRS, nation-wid for protective details, undercover agents and other IRS Special Agents. Thes receivers will be acquired from DYNATECH TACTICAL COMMUNICATIONS, INC. of Hudson, New Hampshire. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3663 and Federal Procurement Data Systems (FPDS) code 5810 apply for this acquisition. Numbered Note #22 applies for this requirement. (0124)
