54 -- CONSTRUCTION OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY-FOUR PRE-ENGINEERED MODULAR BLDGS FOR VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN DC, DE, MD, OH, PA AND SO NEW JERSEY Solicitation #232098-95-A-0145. Due 053195. The contract resulting from this solicitation involves the construction of approximately twenty-four (24) units, manufactured and delivered within a twelve (12) month period of time, from the date of notice to proceed. A minimum of two deliveries each month to the site within 30 days after award, up to a maximum delivery of five units per month. The work shall include the fabrication, erection and construction of a 960 SF building in a factory environment. The work shall also include delivery and placement of the building on assigned postal sites with foundation already prepared. Each unit will be delivered complete with all general post office boxes, service counters ad letter drops provided by the Postal Service and installed by this manufacturer. The buildings will be fully equipped and delivered ready for services including mechanical, plumbing, forced air duct and cooling system and electrical track work. The delivery cost within the first 150 mile radius from the plant is included in the base price. Delivery cost between 150-249 miles is $1,200.00, 250-350 miles is $2,700.00 and 351-400 miles is $4,200.00. Cost beyond the 400 mile radius will be negotiated. The estimated cost range per unit is between $25,000.00 to $35,000., total contract price range for 24 units is $600,000.00 to $840,000.00. Offers are to be submitted on per unit cost.
