Vaughn/210-536-5645. The Air Force through the Construction Management
Division of the Air Force Center of Environmental Excellence intends
to procure a one-step Turnkey project for the Design and Construction
of Military Family Housing at Bolling AFB, DC. The project will include
the design and construction of 100 units with a priced option for an
additional 28 units. The scope of work includes design and construction
of a complete and usable project consisting of all labor, consultant
services, materials, equipment, and all necessary site improvements,
structures and off site work (utilities, road, etc.) as may be required
for the construction of the new housing on Government owned land at
Bolling AFB, DC. and will result in a complete and ready for occupancy
Family Housing area. Scope of this project also includes demolition of
an equal number of existing Wherry Housing units. The Government will
provide technical requirements. Competition will be unrestricted. The
Air Force intends to obtain the housing by negotiations with qualified
proposers based on technical, design, and cost competition source
selection procedures. The total estimated amount available for this
project is between $5 million and $10 million for the initial project
and $1 million to $5 million for the option. Proposals will be
solicited on a firm fixed price lump sum basis. Performance and payment
bonds will be required. The total project performance period is
expected to be 18 months for the initial project which will include the
option performance period. The option will be exercised within the
first 180 day of the contract award. Proposals will be evaluated based
on the technical merit and price. No telephone requests for the
solicitation package will be accepted. The anticipated release date of
the request for proposal (RFP) will be approximately 30 calendar days
from publication of this announcement. The RFP will provide proposal
requirements for those offeror's who wish to be considered. Offeror's
will have approximately 60 days from the RFP release date to submit
their proposals. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held,
at Bolling AFB, approximately 21 days after the release of the RFP.
Drawings will not be provided with the RFP unless specifically
requested. Source lists will be provided with the RFP package or upon
request. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the
RFP may submit a proposal which will cite RFP number F41622-95-R-0018
and shall be directed to Rebecca Rounsavill at the address specified
at the beginning of this advertisement. Only one copy of the RFP will
