66 -- ANIMAL BEDDING SOL DADA15-95-R-0067 DUE 061595 POC Contract Specialist: Joyce McDonald, (202)782-1171, Contracting Officer: Earl Muse Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Metro Feed of Columbia, MD to provide ''Care Fresh Total Care'' animal bedding for use by the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology research laboratory. Due to research protocol, only ''Care Fresh Total Care'' bedding will be acceptable. Contract will be written for the period ending 30 SEP 95 plus four (4) one year options. Minimum characteristics for bedding include: product must be made from paper, not having dust particles smaller than ground pepper and the ability to absorb three times it weight in liquid without turning to mud. Solicitation will outline all other minimum essential characteristics. Solicitation will be available on or about 24 MAY 95.
