The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment, Washington intends to acquire under a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, Contractor support services to provide total operation and maintenance of the Education Resource Center (ERC), United States Naval Academy (USNA). The ERC is the audiovisual activity management point to the USNA, with primary responsibility to supoort the staff in the education and training of midshipmen. The ERC is used as a vital communication method to disseminate information, improve morale, and train personnel in supporting the mission of the USNA. Except as provided in the solicitation, the contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform the work. The contractor will be responsible for the complete management, staffing, and operations of the ERC at the government-owned facility. Duties will include, but are not limited to: management and planning of a year-round operation; full-time staffing of two (2) service desks; production of and training for staff/midshipmen in graphic arts products; media and video productions that include attending concept conferences, shooting, editing, dubbing, duplicating; operation of the audiovisual library, inventory control and maintenance of all government furnished equipment (audio/visual, overhead projectors, cameras, automated data processing hardware and software); and educational television distribution. Anticipated period of performance is one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options in accordance with the specifications in the solicitation, commencing approximately 1 October 1995. A site-visit and pre-proposal conference is tentitively scheduled for 24 May 1995. A firm date and time will be included in the RFP. Only two (2) company representatives will be allowed to attend the site visit and pre-proposal conference.
