A material handling Storage Aid System (SAS) to be installed at Misawa AB, Japan. It will consist of the following components: welded wire storage bins, tote pans, sheet metal drawers, wide-span shelving, pallet rack, cantilever rack, bar/pipe rack, mobile ladders, a mechanical assist movable-aisle storage system (with four movable and two fixed 20-foot long carriages), and two electric walkie-reach forklifts with batteries and charging systems. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposed development phase of this acquisition.
