MK-Ferguson of Oak Ridge Company, under contract with the Department of Energy (DOE), has construction management responsibilities at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) in Paducah, Kentucky. There is an anticipated need for the construction of an ER Waste Storage Facility. The work to be performed includes construction of a pre-engineered metal storage building (approximately 41,455 square feet). Construction shall include preparatory site work, erosion control measures, construction of the storage building, associated utilities and concrete paving. The estimated period of performance is August 1995 to September 1996. The magnitude of cost is less than $5 million. The acquisition described in this solicitation has been set aside for small business concerns. For purposes of this solicitation, small business shall be determined under Standard Industrial Code 1541, General Contractors-Industrial Buildings and Warehouses; $17.0 million annual revenue. The solicitation documents will be issued to offerors using a combination of paper and computer floppy disk. The paper documents for the solicitation will include such items as the Drawings and Engineering Standards. The computer floppy disk documents for the solicitation will include such items as the Request for Proposal, General Provisions, General Conditions, Special Conditions and the majority of the Specifications. WordPerfect Version 6.0 will be used on the computer floppy-disk. Requests for the solicitation must be received no later than May 8, 1995. Cost to receive the solicitation package will be $100.00 non-refundable, except in the event the project is cancelled prior to issue of the Request For Proposal. (115)
