U -- STRATEGIC WEAPONS SYSTEM (SWS) TRAINING SUPPORT Sol. N00030-96-R-0200. Due 063095. POC: Bill Arcidiacono, Code SPN-66, 703/607-0910. SSP intends to procure services related to the development and support of SWS training systems under the cognizance of SSP. Specific tasks include the following: training material acquisition including new SWS courseware and informal training material development; training material support relating to the personnel program coordinator, material preparing activity, and material support activity functions; information resources management including information systems management, integration, and program assessment; manning analysis support including the reduction, analysis and projection of data relating to training load requirements, instructor requirements, Navy training plan requirements, treining conference support, manning policy, and facility training system design; training effectiveness surveillance; implementation of TRIDEMT I (C4) and TRIDENT II (D5) personnel and training evaluation programs; special studies; and United Kingdom POLARIS and TRIDENT training support. In addition, the Navy desires the services of a firm with in-depth knowledge of applicable computer hardware and software to assist in its transition into a ``paperless classroom''. The solicitation will be issued for a base year period of 1 October 1995 through 30 September 1996, plus four one year options. Pursuant to FAR 5.205(f) the following applies: this requirement is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8 (a) concerns; the SIC code for this requirement is 8299, Schools and Educational Services, Not Elsewhere Classified; eligiblity to participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental or transitional stage; and interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program.
