(202) 283-1514. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a
sole source contract to STI-CO Industries, Inc., 11 Cobham Drive,
Orchard Park, NY 14127, for disguised auto antennas. The antennas shall
appear to be an ordinary cellular antenna in physical characteristics,
but have the following salient characteristics: perform in the VHF
bandwith of 154.000 to 174.000 MHz and UHF bandwith of 406 to 420 MHz
spectrum as a unity gain antenna on the IR assigned frequencies; take
a maximum power in Rf watts of 150 watts and operate at 110 watts of
continuous working power; have a bandwith of 2:1 swr (standing wave
ratio) in VHF and UHF; use all Teflon-coated wiring and cable to insure
against harsh environmental conditions; the external duplexer shall be
no larger than 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 x 3/4 for convenience of covert
installations in IRS vehicles; easy to install, i.e., there is no
returning and is a ''walk away'' install; and, provides a one year
warranty. These antennas will be utilized in conjuction with the
Motorola spectra dual band mobile radio. There is no solicitation
