(505) 667-5331. The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), a Department
of Energy (DOE) prime contractor, is interested in subcontracting with
a fully qualified company capable of providing administrative services
for a self-funded Workers Compensation Program. The Subcontract which
will be awarded based on a Request for Proposal and expanded Statement
of Work requirements is specifically for claims administration,
medical cost control, information systems/loss control, and program
development. This basic research Laboratory and two major
Subcontractors employ approximately 9,000 employees consisting of
scientific, engineering, administrative, facilities engineering,
maintenance and protective guard force services. The subcontractor will
obtain injury/illness reports from the Laboratory and its
subcontractors and perform all claims administration work under New
Mexico Law. A New Mexico based claims, investigation and processing
office is required to serve the operation. Claims administration,
medical control, information systems/loss control and general/auto
liability administration requirements will be detailed in the Statement
of Work. A Fixed Price (Indefinite Quantity) Subcontract is anticipated
with a total revenue amount of $60,000 for the first year, with up to
four one year options. This Request for Proposal will be available via
electronic medium after May 15, 1995. The proposal due date is June
23, 1995 at 12:00 pm Mountain Time. To access the LANL Bulletin Board
System (BBS) and obtain a copy of the Request for Proposal you will
need a computer system with a phone modem and a communication software
package. To access the system dial 5056652966. The following steps
must be taken to download the RFP: (1) Type ALT L simultaneously, (2)
Enter the required data asked for by the system, (3) Type C and press
return, (4) Press Return twice, (5) Press L and press return, (6) For
a list of RFP's press 7 and return, for a list of the forms enter 8 and
press return, and for a list of the General Provisions enter 9 and
press return. For those of you who are new to the system it is
recommended that you enter 7-9 and press return. At this point a list
of your selected choices will appear on the screen. Enter M and then
pressing the return to select your choices that you would like
downloaded. To download your choices enter G and press return. Friendly
reminder please ensure that you have enough disk space for the choices
that you selected. You should define your destination path (ie:
a:/LANL/...). If the destination path is not defined on the disk, an
error will appear, and the download of your selected choices will be
unsuccessful. To ensure you receive all amendments and changes to the
RFP, you are required to submit a letter of interest via fax
