McDonnell Douglas Space & Defense Systems - KSC is seeking to identify sources which can provide an Air Conditioning Unit. Features are: 1. GENERAL: air cooling, heating, filtering, dehumidifying unit, 100% outside air (or Recirculating type, optional). Commercial grade, off-the-shelf, self-contained, trailer-mounted, portable ground support equipment, within weatherproof enclosure for outdoor use, with integral gasoline or diesel-powered generator. 2. CAPACITY - COOLING: 50 degrees FDB coil leaving air temperature, and a supply airflow of 1,000 CFM at 4 in. W.G. static pressure, minimum, at outlet (for Recirculating type unit: 50 degrees FDB coil leaving air temperature using 10% outside air, (return air: 86 degrees FDB, 74 degrees FWB) and a supply airflow of 1,500 CFM at 5 in. W.G. static pressure, minimum, at outlet). HEATING/REHEATING: 16 kW (for Recirculating type unit: 24 kW ). 3. DESIGN AMBIENT CONDITIONS: Summer: 96& FDB, 81& FWB, Winter: 20& FWB, 11& F dew point 4. Unit Enclosure: weatherproof, corrosion resistant, painted, suitable for outdoor use in humid coastal atmosphere, mounted on two-axle trailer, with ring tie downs. 5. Refrigeration subsystem: refrigerant R-134a preferred, R-22 optional, industry standard-recognized components ( ARI, ASHRAE, ASME). 6) Air Distribution: Blower: industrial duty, non-sparking construction, non-off gassing materials in airstream (also, compatible with vapors of type J fluids, for Recirculating type unit). 7) Air filters: 30% efficiency, charcoal (adsorption type), and 95% efficiency. 8) Electrical equipment installation and controls: NFPA 70, (also, class I, div. 2, group C & D for Recirculating type unit), NEMA 4 electrical enclosures, manual emergency shutdown. 9) Monitoring capabilities (on display panel or stand-alone): air filter pressure drop, supply air static pressure, supply airflow rate, evaporator coil leaving air temperature, compressor suction pressure, compressor discharge pressure, compressor suction temperature, compressor oil temperature, compressor oil differential pressure. 10) Documentation: operations and maintenance manual (electrical and mechanical schematics, parts list, troubleshooting guide, maintenance procedures), recommended spare parts list (for expected parts replacement within one year).
