Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, supervision and performing all work in strict accordance with specifications for replacement of gas lines in the area which consists of 14 duplex family housing units and two single family units. The natural gas is fed from a single gas main located along Schofield Place and Partridge Place. The duplex units have one below ground gas entrance that branches off inside to serve each residence. The work shall be done in five phases, each phase complete before advancing to the next phase. Work consists of the replacement of detriorated steel mains and laterals with new DRISCO-8000 plastic pipes and shall be in compliance with Central Hudson Stock Sizes. All above grade pipes shall be steel pipes and shall be connected to the first fitting inside each building. Each unit shall have a curb valve, a service valve shall be located on above grade section of pipe. Cathodic protection shall be installed at transition points between plastic and steel piping. Landscape, roadways, etc to be restored to existing at completion of work. The magnitude of this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and is subject to availability of funds. Contractor to commence work five calendar days after notice to proceed and complete not later than one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after notice to proceed.
