The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, supplies, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all operations in connection with Paving Base Wide. Work consists of the construction, repair or replacement of asphalt and concrete roads, sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Work is located on Mountain Home AFB and two remote sites (Saylor Creek and Grasmere) Idaho. The total performance period for this contract is for a period of one year with four succeeding years. The contractor will be guaranteed a minimum amount of $30,000 for the basic year and each succeeding year. The maximum amount for this contract is $500,000 for the basic year and each succeeding year. Requests for solicitation must be in writing and include telephone number, fax number, 9 digit zip code, and information as to whether your organization is a large, small or small disadvantaged business (SDB). The acquisition will be set-aside for SDBs; however, business concerns other than SDBs are invited to bid. If at the time of bid opening, SDB bids are determined to be more than 10% above the fair market price (reference DFARS 219.502-2-70(a)(2)), this acquisition will be converted to unrestricted. The solicitation will be issued o/a 12 May 1995. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office in writing of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor no later than 29 May 1995. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this nature.
