The scope of this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to remove the existing heaters in Bldgs 182, 180, 280 and 227 and install infrared heaters in Bldgs 182, 180, 156, 280 and 227. The removal of existing heaters and installation of new infrared heaters is limited to the hangar bay area. The heating systems for the lean-to areas will remain. The project scope shall include all related gas piping and electrical work. This work description is intended as general information only and is not intended to include and describe every feature or item of work. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance period is expected to be 180 calendar days after issuanceof the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify this office of their intent to bid on this project as a prime contractor as soon as possible, but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. The notification must include (a) a positive statement of eligibility as a SDB concern; (b) evidence of capacity to obtain the required bonds; and (c) past performance data on projects that demonstrate the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Information on your financial status, ie., letter from bank, should also be submitted. If adequate interest is not received from at least two SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued, without further notice, on an unrestricted basis.
