proposals to provide an intra-campus videoconferencing system. The
system must: (1) Support full broadcast quality video (at or near 30
fps), (2) Support multi-party conferences in which all conferees are
visible and audible to each other simultaneously, split screen
capabilities for a minimum of 8 participants per conference, (3)
Utilize a full-featured audio-video switching mechanism, (4) Interface
with existing PC workstations and monitors, (5) Be based on a modular
design that includes 30 initial stations, with growth potential to
500, (6) Interface with standard's based CODECs to support both
outgoing and incoming wide area video calls, (7) Utilize existing UTP
wiring and/or multimode fiber for transmission, (8) Utilize a windows
based control software, including a graphical user interface and
directory features, (9) Be a commercially available product, in use and
demonstrable by the RFP closing date, (10) Be fully supported by a
vendor team based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. All requests
