PLANS FOR FACILITIES IN LOUISIANA, TO THE EXTENT OF THE AREA COVERED BY
THE NEW ORLEANS DISTRICT Sol. 482980-95-A-0134. Due 052295. Contact

consist of preparation of complete and preliminary designs,
construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates; assist the
Postal Service during solicitation of proposals for construction, and
perform optional Title II services during construction for
surveillance; shop drawing review and approval; and preparation of
as-builts for new and major repair and alteration projects and building
expansions within the State of Louisana to the extent of the area
covered by the New Orleans District. Additionally, the contract will
include development of drawings based on program requirements and CADD
tapes provided by the Postal Service. The selected A/E(s) may be
awarded subsequent services over a period of five (5) years subject to
project needs of the Postal Service and the A/E's availability of
staff knowledgeable in Postal work, firm workload, and the high quality
of A/E's performance on recent Postal projects. There is a $5,000
guaranteed contract minimum. Award of additional projects may be made
without further solicitation for facilities located within the
geographical area noted above. Firms must meet the following
requirements: 1) Possess Auto-CADD System, and 2) Have personnel
registered in the State of Louisiana to practice Architecture. Firms
which possess the qualifications to perform the services described
above are invited to submit completed SF 255, ``Architect-Engineer and
Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project,'' a completed SF
254, ``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire,'' and a
completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office
shown above, postmarked not later than May 22, 1995. The selection will
be conducted by using the submitted SF 255 and the SF 254 forms.
Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF
255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be
performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this
advertisement in accordance with foregoing instruction in the following
order of preference: 1) Local, 2) Within the State of Louisiana, 3) Out
of State. Criteria to be used in selection firms for intervioew will be
experience with CADD systems using similar procedures, experience of
office personal with CADD systems, and firm's ability to manage several
facility projects at a single time. The contract contains a requirement
for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of
errors and omissions per claim. Participation of Minority-Owned
Businesses as a consultant (M.E.P., Civil, Structural) to the prime A/E
firm is a requirement in the architect-engineer selection. It is
prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to
any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a
contract for this project. No other general notification for this
project will be made. The U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to
make multiple awards on this solicitation. Submissions will not be
retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals. Please mail
