Z -- UPGRADE OF BASE ALARM SYSTEM IN 30 EXISTING FACILITIES, FAIRCHILD AFB, WA Sol F45613-95-B0018. Due 060895. Work includes, but is not limited to installing a Government furnished Vindicator SM-1000A Alarm System in 30 facilities currently utilizing the Joint Services Interior Intrusion Detection System (JSIIDS). Major items of work include the replacement of components at each alarm facility, with the data lines terminating at the Law Enforcement Desk, Bldg 2071. Project also includes the removal and disposal of equipment not needed once the installation is complete. Installer will also prepare the software needed to run the computer program to include a computer graphics drawing of each facility. The system must be operational at all times, with the exception of the facility being worked on at any particular time. Contractor/Installer must be company certified to install the Vindicator SM1000A A survey will need to be conducted at some facilities due to zoning of the alarm system. Those facilities are the Commissary, Base Exchange and Wing Intelligence. The estimated value of the work is between $25 - $100 thousand. The contract performance period shall be 45 days. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7382. Work is suspected as sole source; however, is open to all bidders on an unrestricted basis.
