Pre-Solicitation. Alter/Repair Aircraft Maintenance Complex at South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, Sioux Falls, SD. Provide all labor, equipment and material for Alter/Repair approximately 8600 SF of vacated space in existing Aircraft Maintenance Building #13 for administrative office space. Required work includes limited exterior concrete demolition, selective CMU and sheetrock/stud partitions (demolition and new), interior and exterior doors and windows (refinishing, demolition and new), interior finishes (demolition and new), furrig and insulating exterior walls, and selective mechanical/electrical modifications (demolition and new). Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. The approximate start date is 2 August 1995 and the project length is 180 calendar days. Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding as the prime or as a subcontractor on this project, by providing evidence of capability to perform. Such evidence must include references for similar work, to include contract numbers, points of contact, and telephone numbers, and; if applicable, a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. In addition, the dollar amount of current construction bonding capability must be furnished. The Contracting Officer will use this information to determine if this solicitation will be set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) firms or issued on an ``unrestricted'' basis. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), or 8 (a). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542.
