On or about April 25, 1995 the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300, will issue Solicitation No. 082530-95-A-0055 for upgrade of the Chelsea, MA Incoming Mail Center/Vehicle Maintenance Facility, 307 Beacham Street. Sealed offers are due Thursday, May 25, 1995 no later than 4:00 p.m. Work shall be started within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and completed within one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days. The estimated cost of the work is between $650,000.00 and $900,000.00. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WIL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a pre-proposal meeting on site on Wednesday, May 17, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. Work includes but is not limited to upgrade of the facility to include site work, restroom and locker modification, docklift replacement, flooring, painting, lighting upgrade, modification of mechanical systems and related work at the Incoming Mail Center/Vehicle Maintenance Facility. A Proposal Guarantee is not required. Performance and Payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror.
