The automation system must interface with broadcast equipment such as videotape machines, video/audio master control switchers, routing switchers, satellite antennas and receivers, and the like. The automation system must be capable of being programmed to operate under the control of daily broadcast schedule information supplied and updated by the Agency, to start and stop video tape equipment, move satellite receiving antennas, tune satellite receivers and control routine switching functions at pre-determined times without direct human intervention.
