The work includes replacing, repairing, testing, modifying, and adjusting existing fire doors and associated components and automatic controls located at various locations throughout many of the buildings on base. Some of the door types include vertical rolling, horizontal sliding, swinging and accordion sliding fire doors. Power and signal (fire alarm system) connections to overhead sources, minor modifications to the plant floor (to provided a fireproof threshold), and some masonry repair will be involved. The solicitation listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but NLT 15 days of this notice, indicated interest in the acquisition by providing to the Contracting Officer evidence of adequate bonding capacity, a list of firms (including points of contact and telephone numbers) from which similar work has been performed, evidence of financial capability, and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns (e.g., small business, large business, etc.) as well as from the SDB concerns. Estimated cost range: $25,000 - $100,000.
