Presolicitation Notice: Presolicitation information is requested for project to construction a parking garage for four fire engines. The work involved will be to demolish existing parking shed approximately 26' x 36' x 20' including concrete footing, structura tube columns, approximately 13' thick concrete pavement and asphalt pavement. Furthermore, construct approximately 68' x 43' x 16' pre-engineered metal building, designed and manufactured conforming to applicable industry/regulatory standard (including 94 UBC), the structural system shall meet requirements specified and be certified by a registered structural or civil engineer. In addition, provide new foundation, two sectional overhead roll-up doors, electrical supply and other incidental work as specified by contrct. The Standard Industrial Code for this project is 1541; the small business size standard is $17.0 million. The estimated cost range of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Anticipated performance time is 120 calendar days. Plans and specifications are anticipated to be available on or about 6 June 1995, until supply is exhausted. The proposed solicitation listed here is being considered for 100% small disadvantaged business (SDB) set-aside firm-fixed price contract. When responses to this notice have been evaluated, the solicitation will be synopsized announcing the set-aside determination. At that time requests for plans and specifications will be accepted from all interested businesses. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days after the appearance of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above in writing the following: evidence of capability to perform, including name and telephone number of references on similar type projects performed in the last three years; a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern; and company's single project and aggregate bonding capability.
