Airport Trafic Control Tower with base building and environment support
unit building located Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Austin,
Texas. The project includes access road and parking lot, utilities and
tie-ins to the City of Austin utilidor, drilled pier foundation, HVAC,
plumbing, fire protection system, security and fencing, installation of
the engine/generator and above ground fuel tank, facility grounding,
bonding and lighting protection system, steel structure, precast
concrete panel exterior system, composite aluminum metal panel system,
split face CMU, and xeroscape landscaping. A pre-bid converence will
be established at time of issuing solicitations. Estimated percentage
is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. There will be a $120.00
non-refundable charge for the plans and specifications. The proposed
procurement is unrestricted regarding business size. The BOD is an
approximate date only. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for
this procurement is 1542. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
