Postal Service is issuing a Request For Information (RFI) to all industry software providers who offer a Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Scheduling and Tracking commercial-off-the-shelf software product. The USPS desires to improve the information management capabilities for their 189 vehicle maintenance facilities by installing a client server GUI application that is compatible with the MS-Windows to completely replace an existing IBM System/36 application. Basic functional support of the software should include: work order management, labor, materials and parts scheduling, inventory management of vehicles, parts, gasoline, oil, natural gas, electricity, diesel and tires, purchasing and reordering, predictive maintenance, mean-time to repair, histories of repair and maintenance, interface capability with internal systems and commercial fuel oil vendors, bar coding, accounts payable interface and EDI. Response should include software package name, software language and data base, required hardware, installation requirements, and vendor's involvement with the software.
