A -- SAFETY EVALUATION FOR ANTI-INFECTIVE THERAPIES SOL NIAID-DAIDS-96-16 DUE 081195 POC Bruce E. Anderson, Contracting Officer, (301)496-8371. The Drug Development and Clinical Sciences Branch, Treatment Research Program, Division of AIDS, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, is soliciting proposals from laboratories with experience in conducting preclinical animal toxicology and pharmacokinetic evaluations, in compliance with FDA Good Laboratory Practices guidelines. Some evaluations in non-human primates will be required. Standard Operating Procedures to be followed in conducting these studies will be included with the solicitation. This work will directly support selected DAIDS-supported clinical and preclinical investigations on potential therapies for HIV infection and for infection with opportunistic pathogens that affect AIDS patients. The agents to be tested will be experimental synthetic organic chemicals and products of biotechnology. It is anticipated that one (1) cost-reimbursement, completion-type contract wil be awarded for a period of five (5) years. Please note that the RFP for this procurement has been revised to include only the Statement of Work, deliverable and reporting requirements, Mandatory Qualification Criterion, the Technical Evaluation Criteria, and proposal preparation instructions. All information required for the submission of an offer will be contained in the electronic RFP package. Following proposal submission and the initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive range will be requested to provide additional documentation to the Contracting Officer. Responses to this RFP will be due on or about August 11, 1995. Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government.
