a request for offers. Responses to this notice will be used to
determine whether bonafide competition exists and whether a formal
solicitation is appropriate. Firms able to offer the above cited
equipment/services under FSS FSC Group 70, Part I, Section A, contracts
are invited to submit copies of their contracts documenting the
availability of the required equipment/services. Equivalent
equipment/services shall be considered only if responding with clear
and convincing documentation that the equipment/service conforms to
specification requirements. Non-ADP schedule firms will be considered
only if responding with clear and convincing documentation that it is
advantageous to consider non-schedule offers. Written responses,
including GSA contract number, if applicable, prices, a point of
contact, and technical data sufficient to determine vendor
capability/responsibility to meet the requirement must be received by
this office within fifteen (15) calendar days from publication date of
this notice. No solicitation document exists and requests for such
documents will not be considered an affirmative response. If no
affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that
a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available,
an order will be placed with SUN Microsystems Federal, Inc. under their
GSA schedule. Oral communications are not acceptable. All responsible
sources may respond to this synopsis. All responses from responsible
sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to
this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a
solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional
synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the
intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of
intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
Response/requests must state that the vendor is not currently on the
consolidated list of debarred, suspended and ineligible contractors or
otherwise ineligible to receive Government contracts. (0108) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0042 19950419\J-0003.SOL)
