The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Big Spring, TX, plans to issue a solicitation for the construction of an Administration Building. This building will consist of, but is not limited to, approximately 7,500 square feet of floor space. The one story structure shall have finishes and systems consistent with those of an office building. New work will consist of site preparation, concrete foundation, concrete slab, exterior cavity walls consisting of concrete masonry units and face brick, metal roofing, interior steel stud and gypsum board partitions, glazing, interior finishes, millwork, wood doors, hollow metal doors and frames, hardware, security hardware, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, lighting, fire protection and alarm systems. The successful contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to complete this project. The construction cost is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation 151-0100 will be available on or about May 5, 1995. All request for this solicitation must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable fee in the amount of $150.00. This request and fee must be mailed to the following Architect/Engineering Firm: Chakos, Zentner, Marcum Architect, 125 South Washington, San Angelo, TX 76901.
