The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, (NSWCDD) has a requirement for an Emersive VR Peripheral Subsystem, n-Vision Model NV-EVRS-1 (OR EQUAL), consisting of one (1) DV10X-S-BM Head Mounted Display driven by two NVR-RGB-SM1-2 Field Sequential Video Converters and containing a VNR-ASC-STD Primary Position Tracker and (1) NVR-DID-CRT Three Dimensional Mouse containing a NVR-ASC-ADT Secondary Position Tracker. This a BRAND NAME OR EQUAL solicitation, the salient characteristics of the subsystem are included in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The subsystem must be delivered complete and ready to connect to Silicon Graphics Reality Station Workstations, Model D-48601-RERM5. The subsystem must be installed, integrated, and tested by the Contractor FOB NSWCDD, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or about 2 May 1995, proposals will be due 30 days after the RFP is released.
