Ford., (703) 274-4122 The Defense Logistics Agency, administrative support Center intends to acquire Storagetek Federal Information Processing (FIP) Peripheral equipment maintenance, firmware and software maintenance, for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The intent is to enter into a negotiated, sole source, 3 year contract with Storagetek for support of the Storagetek equipment and software located at CONUS sites previously held by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and DISA megacenters. The inventory consists mainly of the following devices and their control units: 34XX and 36XX tape drives, solid state devices, tape library modules, 4480 tape cartridge drives, 8380 disk drives of various densities, raid disk array equipment, printer equipment. Hardware and firmware upgrades must be available for the entire inventory to maintain host and hardware compatibility. Software and hardware maintenance services with a response time of two hours must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to maintain the equipment at an effectiveness level of 98%. Relocation of equipment to other locations will be performed by the contractor. The contractor will be required to deinstall, MOVE, install and test this equipment when required.
