The sanitary sewer will be upgraded including the main pump station, controls, accessories, back-up power, and a new lift station in accordance with the Phila. Water Dept. requirements. Potable water system modifications and new work will be in accordance with the PWD requirements and will include backflow prevention, construction of a main to reconnect to the City's service, replacement of 1,000 lineal ft of 12 inch pipe, renewal of the 2 inch service, and addition of booster pumps to eliminate above ground reservoirs. Electrical system will be designed for totalized metering and will include site improvements, power factor correction, system protection, relay coordination, street lighting, replacement of PILC cable, and construction of ducts. Building heat will be provided by individual gas heating systems and by new subdistrict packaged gas fired boiler system plant installed in a pre-engineered building to serve clusters of buildings. Storm sewer rehab will include construction of inlets and connections to eliminate flooding, outfalls, re-lining as required, and any other incidental related work. Before bid is considered for award, the apparent low bidder shall be required to submit specific information demonstrating the ability to meet the stated minimum qualifications in the IFB. The SIC code is 1623 and the industry business size standard is $17.0 Million. Estimated cost range: $9,000,000 to $12,000,000. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted.
