S -- ALTERNATE WATER PROJECT FOR MILITARY INSTALLATIONS DUE 060995 POC CARMEN MINERVA tel: 210/652-6157 The description for solicitation F41689-95-R0030 as it appeared in the CBD on 06 Apr 95 is hereby corrected to read as follows: The Department of Defense (DoD) uses the Air Force to contract for most of the utility services required by the military installations in the San Antonio Texas area. DoD needs to acquire an estimated annual 2.1 billion gallons of potable non-Edwards Aquifer water for Fort Sam Houston and Randolph, Lackland, Brooks and Kelly Air Force Bases and an estimated annual .9 billion gallons of non-potable water for irrigation at Fort Sam Houston and Lackland, Brooks and Kelly Air Force Bases. The 2.1 billion gallons of potable non-Edwards Aquifer water will augment primary consumption currently provided by the Edwards Aquifer. The water must meet Federal and state clean water requirements for the purposes used. Offerors must be prepared to guarantee water delivery even in a drought situation. The estimated monthly consumption of potable and non-potable water for each of the five San Antonio installations will be provided with the solicitation. Offerors may submit a proposal on all or part of this requirement. Offerors must include in proposals evidence of their authority to serve (a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity from Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission (TRNCC)) and maps showing their authorized service territory. Offerors must demonstrate in the proposal their ability to deliver the water to each of the five San Antonio military installations. The soliciatation will show the exact points of delivery at the edge of the various installations. The duration of the utility service contract is projected for an indefinite period. We anticipate issuing a solicitation on or about 25 Apr 95. All requests for the solicitation must be submitted in writing. No telephone request for the solicitation package will be accepted. (0102)
