(ASUW) TRAINER VISUAL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROGRAM POC Ms. Maria D.

and Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW) Trainer Visual System Replacement
Program. The purpose of this notice is to solicit information as to the
availability of potential sources that can provide a multi-view
Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) visual system to include the required
integration into existing P-3 Operational Flight Trainers (OFT s). It
is anticipated that the initial installation will be on Device 2F87(F)
S/N 1 at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The acquisition will also include an
option for a COTS off-line database and modeling system and follow-on
options for the purchase of seven additional visual systems to be
installed in Devices 2F87(F) at NAS Jacksonville, FL; NAS Brunswick,
ME; Oahu, HI; and NAS Whidbey, WA and devices 2F142(F) at NAS Willow
Grove, PA. Those firms currently possessing a COTS visual system and
having trainer design development, manufacturing, installation,
integration, and test experience are requested to submit the following
information in original and one copy to the Contracting Officer
indicated, not later than 20 days from the date of this notice. In
accordance with CBD Note 25, all respondents must provide the following
information: (1) All respondents to this synopsis must state whether
their company is a large, small, or small disadvantaged business. (2)
All respondents who are small, small and disadvantaged or certified
8(a) businesses must indicate their intent to pursue this requirement
as either a prime or a subcontractor. (3) Identify the COTS visual
system and the commercial sources to which these systems have been sold
and accepted (Information shall include the name, phone number, and
point of contact for each commercial source). (4) For those COTS
systems identified in response to this synopsis provide the technical
specification. (5) Show experience, skills and capabilities in the use
and knowledge of ADA, C and DEC Assembly software languages. (6)
Experience in integration of high end Multi-View Visual systems with
existing operational flight trainers. The applicable SIC is 3699. The
information provided should pertain to this synopsis only. Preliminary
information and a draft RFP will be available on the STRICOM
electronic bulletin board about June 1995. A hardcopy draft will not be
issued at this time. The purpose of posting this draft RFP on the
bulletin board is to solicit comments and suggestions. Address
