70 -- UPGRADE OF THREE (3) VAX 7620 TO THREE (3) VAX 7740 AND ASSOCIATED HARDWARE SOL N66604-95-R-B749 DUE 060595 POC Contact Denise Abraham, Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X264 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport proposed to acquire by negotiation an upgrade for three (3) VAX 7620 to three (3) VAX 7740 and associated software. This procurement will be procured on a brand name or equal basis to the following Digital Equipment Corporation part numbers: 3 each of 7JAVA-AA VAX 7610 to VAX 7710 upgrade, 3 each of 7JAVA-LA VAX 7600 to VAX 7700 SMP upgrade, 6 each of 7JATA-LE VAX 7700 SMP Expansion CPU and upgrade of the VAXCLUSTER software for three (3) VAX 7620's to three (3) VAX 7640. Salient characteristics of the brand name shall be provided with the RFP. A partial listing of the 65 (approximate) software programs to be upgraded are as follows, ACMS, BASIC, COBOL, DECFORMS, DECSERVER 500, FORTRAN, MOTIF, PASCAL, PRINTSERVER (40) SERVER and RETOS. The remainder of the software to be upgraded with be provided in the RFP. This requirement will be solicited on an unrestricted basis. These upgrades must be delivered within 60 days after contract award and installation is required 30 days after delivery. FOB destination is required. (0102)
