212 264-9123. Location: NY/NJ Metropolitan Area. Scope of services
required: Indefinite delivery contract for the preparation of sudies,
reports and design documents for drift removal projects. The estimated
cost of services under this contract is $1,500,000. Technical
Capability Required: Due to the wide range of types of project elements
covered under this contract, broad experience and technical
capabilities are required. Experience: Previous experience with similar
type design and construction projects is desired. Technical
capabilities: Technical capability in Civil, Environmental to include
hazardous and toxic waste management, Historical Preservation,
Economic, Structural, Estimating, Coastal Engineering is required.
Special Qualifications: Experience with the design and/or construction
and removal of shore front structures, dredging, drift containment and
disposal, micro-computer aided cost estimating system (M-CACES) Gold,
be capable of reading and writing Intergraph compatible files,
handling/disposal of hazardous/toxic waste, waste characterization and
bioassay/bioaccumulation analysis. The cumulative amount of delivery
orders will not exceed $750,000 per year and the maximum amount per
delivery order will be $150,000. This contract will include an option
for one additional year under the same terms and conditions. The
Governments's obligation for minimum payment applies to the first year
only. Closing date for submission for Form 255: 30 days after the
initial publication of this announcement in Commerce Business Daily. If
closing date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, then the actual
date will be the next business day. A/E Selection will be based on the
requirements referenced above and the following criteria listed in
descending order of importance: Professional qualifications necessary
for satisfactory performance of requested services. Specialized
experience and technical competence in the type of work required.
Capacity of the firm to accomplish the work in the required amount of
time and qualifications of key personnel. Location in the general
geographic area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the
project provided that application of this criteria leaves an
appropriate number of qualified firms given the nature and size of the
NY/NJ Metropolitan Area. Past Experience, if any, of the firm with
respect to performance of Department Of Defense Architect-Engineer
contracts. Volume of work previously awarded to the firm by the
Department Of Defense (DOD) will also be considered, with the aim being
the equitable distribution of DOD Architect-Engineer contracts among
Architect-Engineer firms, including small business firms and firms that
have or had prior DOD contracts. Start: August 1995 Finish: August
