PH: (919) 541-3052. The Environmental Protection Agency has a
requirement for effluent/emissions evaluation, control technology
studies, and source characterizations. The successful offeror will
provide technical support to: major research, development, and
demonstration projects and programs involving effluent/emissions
evaluation; control/prevention technology studies and evaluations;
source characterizations; and associated technical services. These
engineering and technical research services will support the Agency's
exploratory environmental research programs, as well as provide
research in support of the EPA's regulatory activites. EPA anticipates
the award of two (2) level of effort type contracts for a total of
150,000 labor hours each. Each contract will consist of a base
requirement of 20,000 labor hours with an option for an additional
10,000 labor hours. In addition, the contract will allow for four
sixteen-month overlapping options for 30,000 labor hours each. The RFP
will be issued approximately 05/24/95. Proposals will be due
approximately thirty (30) days after the RFP issuance date. Interested
parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by submitting a written
request. No telephone or faxed requests will be honored. Please
include five (5) self-addressed mailing labels with your request. This
is NOT a small business set-aside, however, the SIC Code No. is 8731
which has a size standard of 500 employees. Only one copy shall be
issued to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from
one or more different geographic locations. Copies will be issued on a
first come, first serve basis. A copy of the preliminary source list
will be mailed with the solicitation. A separate request is not
required. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be
