The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division St. Inigoes, Maryland has a requirement for 1,024 each Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs), Alden Electronics Product # SATFIND-406 S-1015 Survival EPIRB Category 2. This requirement will be solicited Brand Name or Equal. This EPIRB is restricted to size and weight limitations determined by the Navy of (1) a length of 11 in. by a diameter of 5 in. and (2) 3lbs. in weight. The EPIRB must operate on the COSPAS-SARSAT Satellite System and be capable of operating on a 406 MHz transmitter and a 121 MHz transmitter. The closing date is for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the RFP. All requests for copies of the solicitation are preferred in writing to the attention of 2622JC.
