M -- TRAIL GUIDE POC Teresa Jackson (415) 744-3981. The National Park Service is seeking parties interested in operating an equestrian trail guide service at Kalaupapa National Historical Park. Kalaupapa National Historical Park is located on the island of Molokia in the Hawaiian chain. The proposed operation will take the public down the historic pali trail into the community of Kalaupapa. The historic trail descends a 1,700 foot cliff and is approximately 2 miles in length involving the negotiation of 26 switchbacks. Upon reaching the bottom of the trail a tour of the historic district will be given by one of the local residents. This business will be conducted under a concession contract. The release of the concession prospectus is expected shortly after the publication of this notice.
