A -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATION AND INSTALLATION OF A COMMON OPEN SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES (SOF) AIRCRAFT (QUIET KNIGHT) DUE 050895 POC Lt Col Ronald C. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Acquisition Center (SOAC), Advanced Technology and Engineering Division requests information from research, development and manufacturing sources regarding designs and concepts suitable for a common Open System Architeture (OSA) for SOF aircraft. The fourth SOF Avionics Architecture and Integration Working Group (SAAIWG) is scheduled for 8-11 May 1995. The SAAIWG will begin the afternoon of May 8 with a Quiet Knight (QK) History/Requirements Update and classified Threat briefing. The Working Group meetings will meet on 9 and 10 May, and their results will be briefed to the entire SAAIWG on 11 May. Working Group meetings scheduled during this SAAIWG will be the; SOF Common Active Terrain Sensing Working Group (SCATSWG), SOF Common Avionic Processor Working Group (SCAPWG), SOF Intelligence Architecture Working Group (SOFIAWG), Quiet Knight Application Software Working Group (QKASWG), and the quiet Knight Crew Station Working Group (QKCSWG). Two new Working Groups will be the Quiet Knight Integration & Test Working Group (QKITWG) and the Quiet Knight Integrated Logistics Support Working Group (QKILSWG). One-on-one technical meetings with the Quiet Knight System Acquisition Manager for 12 May can be scheduled in person at 7:00 a.m. on 11 May at the SAAIWG registration area.
