Contractor will be required to provide one (1) Full Time Equivalent Medical Physicist and one (1) Half Time Equivalent Physicist Dosimetrist. Contractor will have primary responsibility for developing, implementing, coordinating, and administering physics support for the Department of Radiation Therapy to include the Linear Accelerator Program and Cobalt 60 unit and other duties of a related nature as stated in section C of this Solicitation. In this role the contractor will develop policies and procedures to ensure the protection of patients and staff from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation in compliance with regulations and guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), all applicable Federal, State, and Local statuates, guidelines of the National Counsel on Radiation Protection (NRCP), as well as Policies and Procedures of the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
