Anniston Army Depot is seeking sources for companies that have the ability to develop and accomplish repairs on the AGT 1500 Turbine Engine Combustor Liner, NSN 2835-01-076-6092. Repair will consist of removal of burnt or broken combustor internal splash rings, installation of new thoriated dispersed nickel rings, and a detailed written description of the procedure accomplished. Interested parties must accomplish repairs on an initial quantity of six (6) rings at no cost to the Government or prepare a detailed cost summary for future use. The repaired liners will be subjected to Thermal Cycling Metallurgical Analysis, dynamometer testing, and visual inspection. The inner splash ring bands are composed of a radioactive material (thoriated dispersed nickel), therefore; a certificate to handle and work with radioactive materials is required. The purpose of this request is to secure a list of potential certified vendors for repair of the combustor liners. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. DO NOT REQUEST SOLICITATION. Interested companies are requested to furnish technical literature, brochures, catalogs, any information showing latest technology and capability, and indicate if repairs on six each rings will be accomplished at no cost and if a certificate to handle and work with radioactive materials is in-hand.
