Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is interested in receiving
basic research proposals which support the advancement of
spacecraft-based instrument technology for use in scientific
investigations on future planetary missions. A detailed description of
the general area of interest and specific guidance for proposal
preparation is available from the National Space Science Data Center
(NSSDC) at the Goddard Space Flight Center via ANONYMOUS FTP retrieval
over the internet ftp, nssdca.gsfc.nasa.gov, in directory
''hq-nras.piddp.'' Instructions for accessing the files are contained
in the home directory under the name of ''README.'' Participation in
this program is open to all categories of organizations both domestic
and foreign; industry, educational institutions, nonprofit
organizations, NASA centers, and other government agencies. This notice
constitutes a NASA Research Announcement (NRA) as contemplated in
Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) 6.102(d)(2) and will be open for a
period through August 2, 1995. Further information and hard copies of
