COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 10,1995 PSA#1321NASA, Johnson Space Center, BJ23, Houston, TX 66 -- 10-SLICE FOCUSSING IMAGE SLICER SOL 9BJ23180504P DUE 050195 POC
Request solicitation from BD35 /Bid Board, phone 713-483-4511.
Contact:MARIE D. KLIMENT, Tel:713-483-4168 Contracting Officer: ROBIN
R. STUART, Tel:713-483-4184 The NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center has
an immediate requirement for a 10-Slice Focussing Image Slicer. This
image slicer consists of 30 lenslets of BK7 glass. It will be used at
the focus of a telescope to transform a square field measuring 4mm on
each side into 10 slices and stack these slices along the entrance slit
of a spectrograph. In the process it also serves as a focal reducer
changing the f/54 incident beam from the telescope to f/27 at the slit
of a spectrograph. Thus, each slice, which measures 4 mm x 0.4 mm at
the entrance to the image slicer, is reduced to 2 mm x 0.2 mm at the
slit, the stack of 10 slices illuminating a 20 mm x 0.2 mm slit. A
request for more detailed specifications should be addressed to Marie
D. Kliment in the Logistics Business Management Office, NASA Johnson
Space Center via FAX at (713) 483-4173, or voice mail (713) 483-4168.
Delivery of the 10-Slice Focussing Image Slicer must be within 6 months
of the award of a contract (0096) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0213 19950407\66-0008.SOL)
