soliciting proposals to update the electrical system at the Hartford,
CT Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) at 85 Weston St. in Hartford. The
VMF is approximately 21,000 sf; the electrical system was built in the
early 1960's. Work includes, but is not limited to, sitework,
demolition, concrete, finishes, thermal & moisture protection,
electrical, and related miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of the
work is between $100,000.00 and $400,000.00, with completion within 120
calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be
received in this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on May
10, 1995. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers
received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or
relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until
award of contract is made. Proposal documents, plans and specifications
will be available o/a April 11, 1995 at a cost of $15.00 per set
(non-refundable) from the Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal
Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Certified checks
or money orders only, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S.
Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-95-A-0052). Plans may
be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their
availability may be obtained by contacting Cathy Cosgrove at (203)
285-7191. Questions concerning the technical aspects of the proposal

a preproposal conference for this project at the site on Tuesday,
April 25, 1995 @ 9:00 a.m. Prospective offerors are encouraged to
