Work includes, but is not limited to, the design and construction of a new carwash bay, attached and similar to the existing two carwash bays at Bldg 2320, including the provision of automatic brushless carwash equipment installed in the new carwash bay and the existing mechanical and storage rooms in the building. The new carwash bay shall be reinforced concrete foundation and slab, CMU walls, an uninsulated steel roof, and automatic steel sectional overhead doors, duplicating the existing structure. The estimated value of the work is between $100-$250 thousand. The contract performance period shall be 60 calendar days. Government furnished materials shall not be included. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. This solicitation will be a Two-Step sealed-bid process. Step One will be issued on/or about 20 Apr 95, (in letter format) consists of a request for, submission, evaluation, and (if necessary) discussion of a technical proposal, no pricing is involved. Step One in no way binds the Government and actual delivery or performance requirements will be contained in the invitation issued under Step Two. Step Two involves the submission of sealed price bids by those who submitted acceptable technical proposals in Step One, and will provide an additional 15-day period for the Step Two process.
