SOURCES ARE BEING SOUGHT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTIMEDIA Training Application (MTA). The purpose of this MTA is for use in training users of the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Integrated Planning System (SIPS). SIPS is a set of integrated computer based planning tools developed by the Navy for the SLBM program. SIPS executes on a SUN SPARC workstation running under the Solaris 2.3 operating environment. The MTA must execute in the same environment. SIPS and the MTA will be classified at the SECRET level. The MTA must be accessible from SIPS and should call SIPS functions as necessary. The MTA must include an interactive training mode, a demonstration mode and a context sensitive user help mode. Text, graphics, sound and video should be used as appropriate to achieve the maximum training benefit. Potential offerors are requested to submit technical data (brochures, product descriptions, etc.) and samples of previous MTA developed. Also, a statement of the potential offerors interest and general qualifications, especially the ability to handle classified materials is requested. No solicitation is available. Any future acquisition of MTA will be synopsized prior to issuance of a solicitation. (0095)
