The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 2, seeks bids for the clean out of approximately 47,400 feet of ditches, drains, or ponds in terrain ranging from dense tall marsh grasses to woody vegetation (Tallow trees). Disposal of excavated material will be the contractor's responsibility. Excavator-type equipment capable of maintenance cleaning of ditches up to 25 feet in width will be required. Use of mats will be required in some areas because of the unstable soil conditions found in wetlands. The project is located along the eastern coast of Texas at the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Anahuac, Texas. The estimated price range is less than $25,000. Bid, performance, and payment bonds will be required if bid price is above $25,000.
