(406)731-4008. Description of Project: Architect-Engineer (A-E)
Services are required for design of miscellaneous operations and
maintenance projects and supporting services at Malmstrom AFB MT. An
open-ended, firm-fixed price A-E contract will be issued for a period
of one year, with the option for one additional year. Projects will be
issued to the A-E firm by delivery orders placed against the awarded
contract. The total amount of individual delivery orders issued during
the basic year shall not exceed $499,000, nor shall it exceed $499,000
during the one-year option period. The maximum size of any single
delivery order will be $299,000. Design services will be in conjunction
with minor remodeling and maintenance projects, including preparation
of drawings and specifications. Various types of A-E services, such as
investigation, inspection, reports, and cost estimates may also be
required as related to the project design. Independent testing services
may also be required as the need arises. Projects will require
primarily the civil discipline with support from the mechanical,
electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines as needed on
specific projects. A minimum of $5,000 in fee work will be issued under
the resulting contract. A firm-fixed price indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract will be utilized. The estimated
award date is July 1995. Significant selection criteria, in relative
order of importance include: (1) Experience. Firm can demonstrate
recent expertise in the area of this design by referencing successful
completion of at least two projects of similar scope and description
within the past two years; (2) Capability. Firm has adequate available
staff with project specific experience to ensure successful design
results within the specified performance period; (3) Location. Firm has
primary design staff within eight (8) hours driving time of Malmstrom
Air Force Base MT; (4) Prior DOD Awards. Firms with little or no DOD
awards in the past three years will be rated higher than firms with
several such awards during the same period; (5) Dollar Value of Prior
DOD Awards. Firms that have lower dollar values of DOD awards during
the past three years will be given a higher rating than those having
higher dollar awards; and (6) Excellence of Work. Firms can
demonstrate, by letters of reference or awards, recent specific
excellent results in design and construction for similar projects. A-E
firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are
invited to submit a completed Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255,
U.S. Government Architect-Engineer qualifications, to 341 CES/CECR,

wil be considered. No other general notification to firm under
consideration will be made and no further action is required. This is
not a Request for Proposal. The proposed acquisition listed herein is
