include the solicitation no. RFQ3-020250 and your company's name, phone
no., and mailing address. The Government wishes to procure one Ford
Model E-350 utility vehicle van or equal. The vehicle needs to be large
enough to transport earth station 21, a Very Small Aperture Terminal
(VSAT), to many U.S. destinations and demonstrate ACTS technologies to
the public and industry. Operations will be conducted in and around
the van as well as away from the van. This specialized van will be used
in operations until the year 1999. The following is a list of some of
the Salient Characteristics: 1) 5.8-liter EFI V8 engine w/heavy-duty
engine cooling, overall vehicle width 96 inches; 2) Cargo box height
115 inches from ground, vehicle roof clearance 115 inches; 3)
10,700-pound GBWR, 5935-lb gross payload, 3500-lb net payload,
3550-pound front-end loading capacity, 7800-pound rear-end loading
capacity; 4) A/C for cargo area, mounted above cab and through bulkhead
behind cab, 120 Vac 60 Hz, max current draw 12 Amps, self-draining to
the outside, 10500 BTU, 5) Minimum inside cargo width 86 inch with
insulation, (max 90 inches without), cargo floor (with wheel wells) 33
inches above ground (with no payload), minimum inside cargo area
height clearance 72 inches with cargo door open; maximum inside cargo
area height clearance 78 inches.. Delivery to Cleveland, Ohio 44135.
Delivery schedule is 84 calendar days after contract award. This
procurement is being made under the provisions of the Simplified
Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition
Streamlining Act of 1994 (FASA). Written quotations were issued March
20, 1995, with the quotation due date of April 26, 1995. A fixed-price
purchase order shall be awarded to the lowest price quote which is
competitive with market pricesk, desired quality and delivery,
considering past performance, warranties and other offerings of value
to the Government. This procurement is reserved for small business
unless the Purchase Agent is unable to obtain quotes from at least two
