14 -- ADVANCED TOMAHAWK WEAPON CONTROL SYSTEM (ATWCS) HARDWARE PRODUCTION POC Contact, Daryl Shall, Phone (703)604-0757 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to conduct a competition for Advanced TOMAHAWK Weapon Control System (ATWCS) Track Control Group (TCG) Phase 1 Hardware production, Phase 2 Launch Control Group (LCG) LRIP Option, Phase 1/2 LCG/TCG Production Option, Submarine LRIP Option, and Submarine Production Option. The tentative schedule calls for the release of a DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) in October 1995, an official RFP in March 1996, with an anticipated award date of October 1996. The first deliveries take place in October 1997. Current planning quantities are 27 Phase 1 TCG kits, 16 Phase 2 LCG kits, 9 Phase 1/2 LCG/TCG suites, and 5 submarine ATWCS kits. Option quantities for FY98 are 8 Phase 2 LCG kits, 20 Phase 1/2 TCG/LCG suites, and 10 submarine ATWCS kits. Several meetings are planned in which requirements will be discussed. The first is a Hardware Engineering Review (HER) Meeting to be held on the afternoon of 26 April 1995 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Calif. A Phase 2 LCG H/W Preliminary Design Review (PDR) is expected to be held in Dec 1995 and a Phase 2 LCG H/W Critical Design Review (CDR) is expected to be held in February 1996. Interested parties may attend these meetings, however, it is requested that participation be limited to one person per organization due to conference room constraints.
