R -- PERSONAL SERVICE SOURCES SOUGHT Due 041995. Contact Point, T. Graf, Contracting Officer, 202/606-3513. The Peace Corps is seeking a qualified individual (not organizations or companies) to serve as Programming and Training Specialist in Ukraine beginning o/a May 1, 1995. The Specialist will assume responsibility for the operation and management of programs in the following fields: Education; Health; Environment; Youth Development; Economic Development and Agribusiness. They will also assist in planning and/or evaluating new programs and site developmen for volunteers as necessary. Experience should include: (1) Returned Peace Corps volunteer or other similar and relevant overseas living experience; (2) Experience in oganizational, management, and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communications; (3) Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing training programs in the developing world; including program design, management, and evaluation; (4) Experiece in program planning and development in at least one of the following fields: education, business development, or environment. (5) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in training techniques and current methodologies for developing capacities of training staff; (6) Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and to maintain good working relationships with ministry and other host country national officials and counterparts; (7) Ability to function as a team member of Peace Corps staff in assigned posts; (8) Demonstrated flexibility and leadership skills under difficult working conditions; (9) Proficiency in Ukrainian helpful but not required; (10) Commitment of two (2) year beginning o/a May 1, 1995. Some personal hardship and lack of modern conveniences should be expected. Housing and transportation will be provided. Successful candidates will need a security clearance.
